Job Description and Duties The Stakeholder Engagement Manager leads DHCS efforts to elevate Medi‑Cal member and community voices in statewide health policy. As part of the Office of Communications leadership team, the Supervisor II manages major advisory bodies, oversees member‑engagement programs, and guides a team that plans and facilitates high‑profile public meetings. Responsibilities include strengthening relationships with diverse communities, ensuring compliance with federal and state engagement requirements, and incorporating member insights into DHCS decision making. This position requires collaborative leadership and a commitment to equity and inclusive public participation. This classification was formerly known as Staff Services Manager II and is now Supervisor II as of January 1, 2026. This role is subject to the Department\'s Conflict of Interest Code and filing a Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700). Working Conditions Telework and salary information: telework options exist; location and temporary salary reductions may apply based on program and operational needs. In‑person work location is in Sacramento, CA, with telework eligibility details described in the telework policy. Office location for this position: 1501 Capitol Ave, Sacramento, CA. Minimum Requirements Minimum requirements are described in the Class Specification for SUPERVISOR II. This position requires eligibility for SUPERVISOR II and related qualifications as defined by the classification. Ability to develop and implement strategic engagement and communication plans using plain language, culturally and linguistically appropriate methods. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences, with experience with Medi‑Cal members, community organizations, and elected officials. Familiarity with Medicaid, Medi‑Cal, and safety‑net programs. Commitment to equity, inclusion, and engaging historically underserved communities.
