The Office of AIDS (OA) is an office within the California Department of Public Health, Center for Infectious Diseases, Division of HIV, HCV, and STIs. The AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) Branch, within OA helps ensure that people living with HIV/AIDS who are uninsured and under insured have access to medication on ADAP’s formulary. Insurance premium payment programs within the ADAP Branch provides assistance designed to ensure access to medical care and treatment for people living with HIV/AIDS. “The salary information listed on this advertisement may not reflect recent salary increases from salary adjustments or changes in the fiscal year.” “CDPH is an E-Verify Employer” Department Website: Job Description And Duties The incumbent works under the general direction of the Manager II, Chief of the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) Branch. The Supervisor II plans, coordinates, directs, and assists with the work of ADAP’s PrEP-AP and Strategic Projects Section. The ADAP Branch administers programs to provide life-saving medications to eligible persons living with HIV infection, and for the prevention of HIV for persons at high risk of HIV acquisition. The Supervisor II uses programmatic and surveillance data to assess the status of HIV and sexually transmitted infection (STI) epidemics, identify strategies and actions for reducing the number of new cases of HIV and STIs and eliminating health inequities that result in disproportionate disease burdens among marginalized demographic groups, and aligns and mobilizes resources and stakeholders to achieve goals. The Supervisor II works collaboratively with managers and staff from the Office of AIDS (OA) ADAP Branch, ADAP and CARE Evaluation and Informatics (ACEI) Branch, the Surveillance and Prevention Evaluation and Reporting (SuPER) Branch, the HIV Care Branch, the HIV Prevention Branch, the OA Support Branch, and the Division Office. The Supervisor II has critical oversight responsibilities for the Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis Assistance Program (PrEP-AP) and other ADAP Branch initiatives. In July 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025. This program temporarily reduces employees’ monthly base pay in exchange for paid leave credits. This position is subject to PLP 2025 and will have a monthly base pay reduction of 3% in exchange for 5 hours of leave credits through June 2027.
