A contract pharmacist opportunity is available at a specialty pharmacy located in Webster City, IA. This position focuses on providing both long-term care and retail pharmacy services and requires strong clinical and customer service skills.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Some weekends required
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately for long-term care and retail patients.
- Verify prescriptions and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Counsel patients on medication use and potential side effects.
- Support immunization services where applicable.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Active Iowa pharmacy license or temporary Iowa license.
- Previous experience in long-term care and retail pharmacy preferred.
- Immunization certification is highly desirable.
- CPR certification is an advantage.
This assignment lasts for 13+ weeks, offering a focused environment within a specialty pharmacy setting. Candidates should be prepared to follow a weekday schedule with occasional weekend shifts to support patient needs.
