Patient ratios: 1:25 weekdays, 1:45 weekends. 26-week assignment with 40 hours of orientation. Highlights: Long-term 26-week travel assignment in an acute care facility Collaborative interdisciplinary team including Physical Therapy and Social Services Work with diverse patient populations including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics Epic charting system with computerized documentation Business attire or scrubs accepted No floating required within the unit Requirements: Active California RN license (pending license accepted if active by start date) Minimum 2 years of acute care Case Management or Discharge Planning experience required Hospital experience mandatory; behavioral health experience does not qualify Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers cannot be considered Experience with patient assessment, care coordination, discharge planning, and utilization review Proficiency with HMOs, IPAs, arranging DME, SNF placement, and ambulance transport independently Knowledge of foster care, substance abuse treatment, homelessness resources, mental health crisis management, advance directives, and protective services Ability to organize and participate in family meetings and treatment plan development Two professional references covering one year within the last three years Flexibility to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Why Join Us?
