Details Acute care hospital setting within the Case Management/Utilization Review department Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Patient ratios of 1:25 on weekdays and 1:45 on weekends No floating expected to other units Required to work every other weekend to meet department needs Responsibilities include admission criteria review, benefits eligibility, care coordination, discharge planning, disease management, needs assessment/DME ordering, plan of care development, and prior authorizations Involves regulatory compliance related to CMS, Department of Health, DRG, and Joint Commission/Core Measures/National Safety Goals Requirements Active CA RN license required (pending license accepted if licensed by start date) BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of Acute Care Case Management/Discharge Planning experience required Hospital experience required; behavioral health experience does not qualify Must be a seasoned traveler with prior travel nursing experience Epic EMR experience required Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required Full SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers will not be considered for this position Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day RTO limited to no more than 7 days, with all time-off requests submitted upfront during the application process Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location Business attire or scrubs accepted as dress code Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility, including permanent, travel, or per-diem roles American Traveler Job ID P-745847.
