Schedule: 40 Hours per Week
Shift: Night Shift – 10-Hour Shifts (9:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Rotation: Rotating Schedule, Including Every Other Weekend

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join a clinical laboratory team in a contract role. The MLT will perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to support accurate diagnosis, treatment, and patient care. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
Analyze and interpret laboratory specimens, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of results.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.
Prepare and process patient samples for testing.
Follow quality control and quality assurance protocols to maintain laboratory accuracy and compliance.
Document test results and maintain accurate laboratory records.
Adhere to laboratory safety standards, infection control guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Communicate effectively with laboratory staff, healthcare providers, and other departments regarding test results and specimen issues.
Assist with inventory management, reagent preparation, and equipment maintenance as needed.
Qualifications
Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related laboratory science field required.
Previous clinical laboratory experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, specimen handling, and quality control practices.
Ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Required Certifications
Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) through a recognized accrediting organization preferred or required based on state and facility guidelines.
Current applicable state licensure, if required.

Compunnel Healthcare Job ID #MGB-28487. Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
