Job Title: 1:1 Paraprofessional (School-Based)
Location: Elk Grove, CA
Job Type: Part-time/Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Paraprofessional to support a student within a school district in Elk Grove, CA. This role involves working closely with one student to provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to a student in the classroom and school environment
- Assist with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Support academic tasks, classroom participation, and daily routines
- Help manage behavior and reinforce positive interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow district policies
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred
- Previous experience working with children or in a school setting strongly preferred
- Experience supporting students with special needs is a plus
- Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team
