Interim Accounting Manager

Interim Senior Accountant Our client, a cloud technology company, is seeking an Interim Senior Accountant to support their finance team during a critical growth phase. The position is fully remote and has an expected duration of 3 months with potential extension. Responsibilities Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and other stakeholders to streamline payroll and procurement processes Support system enhancements and process improvements, including workflow optimizations Improve accounting processes to shorten close timelines and increase automation and scalability Support monthly financial close, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and management reporting Assist with audit preparation, compliance requirements, and tax filings Own Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, including invoice coding, approval workflows, vendor payments, and compliance with financial controls Maintain strong internal controls and proactively identify risks in payment cycles Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 6+ years of accounting experience Tech industry experience preferred, ideally within a late-stage VC-backed startup Hands‑on experience with payroll and P2P process improvements Strong systems and Excel skills; experience with Rippling and Ramp required Compensation Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors, including but not limited to: The individual’s skill sets, experience, and training; Licensure and certifications; Office location and other geographic considerations; Other business and organizational needs.
