Pay: $20.00 per hourJob description:Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder specializing in MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding to join our manufacturing and construction teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards.DutiesPerform MIG - 2G DownhillRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding diagrams to execute precise welds.Utilize hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble metal parts.Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools to verify dimensions and weld integrity.Prepare materials through cutting, grinding, soldering, and plasma cutting techniques for assembly or repair tasks.Follow ASME codes & standards for welding procedures and safety protocols during fabrication processes.Assist with rigging, pipe threading, assembly, and mechanical tasks as required on construction sites or manufacturing floors.Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety regulations related to welding fumes, fire hazards, and equipment handling.Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring high standards of craftsmanship.Support fabrication of ductwork or custom metal structures for industrial or construction projects.RequirementsProven experience in MIG welding within construction sites or manufacturing environments.Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to welding projects.Familiarity with using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, and plasma cutters for precise fabrication.Ability to interpret schematics and mechanical drawings accurately.Experience working with sheet metal fabrication, pipe threading, rigging, and assembly processes.Basic math skills for measurements and calculations involved in fabrication tasks.Mechanical knowledge of machinery such as press brake machines or machining tools is advantageous.Understanding of ASME codes & standards relevant to welding practices.Valid certification or training in welding techniques preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is a plus.Strong safety awareness with adherence to OSHA regulations on construction sites.
