Commercial Litigation Attorney

Job Description Job Description Sebesta Poelma, LLLP is seeking a skilled Commercial Litigation Associate with 3–7 years of experience to join our Houston office. This role focuses on commercial/business litigation, with opportunities to take meaningful responsibility across all phases of a case. Experience with insurance subrogation is a plus but not required. What You’ll Do Manage matters from case inception through resolution, including discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation Research, analyze, and draft high‐quality briefs, including motions to dismiss, summary judgment, and motions to compel in state and federal courts Draft and file pleadings and discovery responses Prepare discovery materials, legal memoranda, and supporting research Represent clients in hearings and take fact‐witness depositions Collaborate closely with partners and team members to develop case strategy and deliver excellent client service What You Bring J.D. from an accredited law school Active Texas law license in good standing, with compliance with all CLE requirements 3–7 years of litigation experience, ideally with commercial/business matters Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a demanding caseload A proactive, team‐oriented mindset and commitment to client service Benefits & Perks Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with up to 4% employer match Paid time off Payment of Texas State Bar dues and CLE fees Hybrid work option available after 60 daysaa415a4b-8b21-40fc-a65c-70d2b25ca29a
