Group Description: The Metals, Materials & Mining team advises a broad range of corporate, government, and financial sponsor clients involved in the extraction, processing, production, and recycling of commodities, materials, and critical minerals. The team works at the intersection of geopolitics, supply chain disruption, and the global energy transition. Based in New York and London, the team comprises senior bankers with diverse international backgrounds and serves clients globally. What is the Position? Evercore seeks to hire an experienced Analyst for its Metals, Materials & Mining Team located in New York, NY. Primary Responsibilities: Evercore’s differentiated approach to advisory provides Analysts with the ability to work closely with senior bankers on industry-transforming transactions around the world. The small transaction team structure creates a strong platform for Analysts to learn investment banking and assume high levels of responsibility at early stages of their careers. As part of the team, the Analyst will have the opportunity to work on a variety of strategic advisory assignments including: sellside and buyside M&A engagements; activism and raid defense; divestitures and spin-off engagements; equity and equity-linked capital-raising; debt private placements; special committee engagements; debt and restructuring advisory; and more broadly, evaluation of strategic alternatives Specific Qualifications: The Analyst will be ambitious, self-directed, creative, and resourceful. The candidate will be passionately interested in a career in investment banking, intellectually-curious, and eager to learn. The ideal candidate will have: An excellent, team-based attitude Relentless work ethic and high energy level Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel Exceptional attention to detail Calm under pressure with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously Intellectual curiosity and an interest in finance and macroeconomics Expected Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 In addition to a competitive base salary, employees may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus delivered in the form of cash and/or deferred equity.
