We are seeking a proactive and hands-on HR Manager to support HR activities for traveling teams responsible for setting up new data center locations. This role will focus on employee relations, onboarding, workforce coordination, HR compliance, and supporting employees as they transition between projects and locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day HR activities for traveling teams assigned to new data center start-up projects

• Coordinate employee onboarding, orientation, personnel records, and HR documentation

• Provide support with employee timekeeping, attendance tracking, and workforce reporting

• Partner with operational leaders to address employee relations matters, performance concerns, and disciplinary documentation

• Ensure HR practices and employee documentation align with company policies and applicable employment laws

• Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace concerns

• Communicate staffing needs, workforce challenges, and employee concerns to HR leadership

• Coordinate employee transfers and transitions between projects and locations

• Travel to new data center locations to provide onsite HR support during start-up activities

• Assist with maintaining consistent HR processes and a positive employee experience across multiple locations

• Collaborate with site leadership to support employee engagement, retention, and operational readiness

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

• Experience in Human Resources within warehouse, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, construction, or other operational environments

• Strong background in employee relations, onboarding, HR administration, and policy compliance

• Experience supporting operational teams in fast-paced or changing environments

• Ability to work closely with leadership to address employee concerns and workforce challenges

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple HR priorities and maintain accurate employee records

• Willingness and flexibility to travel to different project locations as business needs require

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting new site launches, start-up operations, or project-based workforces

• Experience coordinating employees across multiple locations or projects

• Knowledge of HRIS systems, timekeeping processes, and workforce reporting

• Experience supporting traveling or mobile employee populations

• Familiarity with employee relations investigations, performance management, and disciplinary processes

About the Role

How you will contribute

• Answer routine inquiries involving the collection, verification, and/or dissemination of human resources information on various topics such as disciplines, records, wages, absences, hiring, and policies and procedures.
• Participate in the recruitment process by reviewing resumes, posting jobs, interviewing candidates, conducting orientation and training, completing new hire paperwork and communications to the staff.
• Conduct new hire (safety) orientation for new employees, risk assessments and ongoing (safety) training. 
• Assist with payroll and payroll related records. Update and maintain employee information. Update and maintain HRIS systems.
• Maintain and gather information for and assists with the preparation of reports.
• Work with the Employee Representatives (Worker’s Counsel and/or Union) to resolve issues and grievances based on a good understanding of the Collective Agreement (if applicable).
• Ensure all employees are properly enrolled for benefits, and any changes are updated regularly.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, occupational illnesses and work refusals to determine causes and implement preventative measures to reduce or eliminate hazards.
• Maintain seniority lists and all other reports and data.
• Other duties as assigned

Your Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, labor relations, or business or a field related to the position.

• Experience in performing professional level human resources, payroll, customer service, or general office duties in a logistics, manufacturing or related field.
• Additional education, training and/or work experience in area of specialization inherent to the position may be required.
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office products and HRIS systems.
• Knowledge of principles and procedures used in human resources.
• Knowledge and understanding of local laws, rules, and/or regulations affecting human resources administration; ability to develop a broad knowledge of those of the company.
