Automotive Service Technician

We are seeking an experienced and quality-driven diagnostic/repair technician to fill an open position in our car repairs service department. Our ideal candidate will be confident running diagnostics equipment to identify and complete automotive repairs to electrical and software systems. $65,000 - $73,000 yearly
Responsibilities:- Help establish service protocols for tracking the status of repairs, maintaining relevant technical manuals, using charts, and more for all of our dealerships
- Operate diagnostic equipment to accurately determine the cause of malfunction codes with the vehicle’s integrated computer system
- Apply a checklist-based approach to ensure a comprehensive examination of all vehicle systems, including the engine, air conditioning, transmission, and brake systems
- Adhere to manufacturer specifications to maintain vehicle systems and ensure customer satisfaction
- When needed, conduct routine maintenance such as checking fluids, rotating tires, replacing brake pads, and oil changes
- GED or high school diploma is mandatory
- Completion of a certified post-secondary training program is mandatory; an associate degree is ideal
- Strong customer service and communications skills are needed
- ASE certification or comparable standard service technician credential, such as SAE, is attractive
