Job Description Job Description Position Summary The Counselor Intern provides supportive counseling services to clients in a substance use treatment setting under the supervision of a licensed or certified clinician. This position is designed to offer hands‑on training and experience in assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions while supporting clients in their recovery journey. Key Responsibilities Assist in conducting intake assessments and gathering client history information Support the development and implementation of Individualized Treatment Plans (ITPs) Co-facilitate group counseling sessions and psychoeducational groups Provide limited individual support sessions under supervision Observe and learn evidence-based counseling techniques (e.g., CBT, Motivational Interviewing) Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with agency and state guidelines Participate in case conferences, supervision, and team meetings Assist with client engagement, education, and recovery support activities Monitor client behavior and report any concerns to supervisory staff 3pm to 11pm #J-18808-Ljbffr Fairweather, LLC
