Surgical Scheduler Coordinator

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 - This position is responsible for the successful completion of the surgical scheduling process for patients requiring elective surgery at Sturdy memorial Hospital. Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience: Three to five years previous experience in medical office. Command of verbal and written English; positive interpersonal communication skills and good organizational skills. Understanding of referral and prior authorization process. Demonstrates strong organizational skills Able to work collaboratively with surgeons, the hospital surgical schedulers, and the PCP’s office staff Ability to effectively communicate with patients Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience: Knowledge of medical terminology Computer skills Knowledge of physician appointments and schedule management. Ability to work independently Educational Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent; Two year Associates degree or equivalent preferred License/Certification: N/A Age Specific Criteria: Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas. Report to: Practice Manager - Salary Range: $19.85-$30.05 - Salary Range Details The pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set, and education. This is not inclusive of the value Sturdy Health’s benefits package (if applicable), which includes among other benefits, healthcare/dental/vision and retirement.
