Travel assignment in postoperative care, providing recovery support for adult patients. Work in a fast-paced, high-volume PACU with rotating day/evening/night coverage, including holidays and weekends. On-call and callbacks as needed. This travel role is in a surgical services setting designed for experienced PACU nurses who thrive in a team environment and prioritize patient safety and clear communication.

- Work setting: acute post-anesthesia recovery in an inpatient surgical environment
- Schedule: 36 hours per week with rotating D/E/N shifts, holidays, weekends, on-call as needed

Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care for adult patients transitioning from anesthesia to recovery
- Monitor vitals, pain scores, device function, and fluid status; respond to unstable conditions per protocol
- Administer medications and monitor patient response under physician orders; document findings accurately
- Collaborate with anesthesia, surgeons, and nursing staff to ensure patient safety and smooth handoffs
- Assess readiness for transfer or discharge from PACU; communicate patient status to receiving units
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record and adhere to safety and infection control standards

Requirements
- Active RN license in New York (NY RN license required)
- PACU experience required; ICU experience preferred
- Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS (American Heart Association) required
- Experience: at least 2 years of RN experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced PACU setting and to participate in rotating shifts, including holidays and weekends
- Comfortable with on-call and callback responsibilities as part of the assignment
