As a Mechanical Engineer based in Pittsburgh or Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, you'll contribute to the design and delivery of critical facility systems that help our clients operate safely, efficiently, and sustainably.In this role, you'll support the design, development, evaluation, and specification of mechanical building systems, including HVAC, cleanroom, chilled and heating water, and process exhaust systems. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering work, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting projects from planning through startup and implementation. You'll also have the opportunity to learn from experienced technical leaders and grow your career while helping deliver meaningful outcomes for our clients.What you'll doDevelop mechanical engineering designs, calculations, construction drawings, and specifications for complex facility projectsDesign and support HVAC, cleanroom, chilled water, heating water, and process exhaust systemsDeliver engineering work in alignment with project scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirementsCoordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to integrate mechanical systems into overall project designsSupport engineering evaluations, recommendations, and technical documentationProvide on-site assistance during system startup, commissioning, and project implementation activitiesCollaborate with clients and project stakeholders to understand project objectives and technical requirementsApply engineering standards, codes, and best practices throughout project execution Here's what you'll need Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering disciplineAt least 4 years of mechanical engineering design or consulting experienceEngineer in Training (EIT) certificationDemonstrated ability to develop design calculations, construction drawings, and technical specificationsExperience using 3D modeling software such as Revit or AutoCADIdeally, you'll also haveExperience with hydraulic modeling software such as Pipe-Flo or Pipe 2000Experience using HVAC analysis software such as Trane Trace or HAPProfessional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 monthsExperience with thermal utility plants and utility distribution systems, including steam, hot water, and chilled water systemsExperience with utility master planning or decarbonization and climate response planning initiativesExperience supporting laboratory, vivarium, life sciences, pharmaceutical cGMP manufacturing, or data center projects#LI-KD1Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
