Location Hollywood, Florida Summary The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist I provides diagnostic imaging in multiple specialties in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Spends a minimum of 25% of time practicing in secondary discipline. Saturday- 7a -7p 1- Weekday- 8 hours On-Call Rotation - Compensation awarded Holiday Rotation Hospital Experience required CT Certification Responsibilities Charges appropriately for all supplies used for procedure(s). Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department. Reviews patient history and physician’s orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient’s understanding and cooperation. Assists with preparation and administration of contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate. Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s) taking appropriate action to resolve image quality issues. Enters, transmits and reports scan results. Registered in computed tomography (CT) by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 1 year of hire date.
