THE POSITION

School: This position serves Charter Schools USA’s eight Duval County campuses. Campus assignment—or a split schedule—will be based on student caseload and your preference. Start Date: Immediate. Schedule: School day hours, Monday through Friday. Optional paid Extended School Year available. Workload: Aligned to APTA best practice standards with negotiated expectations. Setting: K‑12 charter schools serving diverse learners.

COMPENSATION — FLORIDA’S BEST OFFER

Base hourly pay: $27–$35/hr W‑2 Salary (est.): $56,000–$72,000 Health insurance: Varied / employee‑paid share; full medical/dental/vision often paid. PTO: 10 days + sick leave per school calendar. Retirement: FRS pension; 401(k) with company match. CEU stipend: $750/year; licensure and FPTA dues reimbursed. Signing bonus: None. Retention bonus: $1,000 per semester after 90 days. Optional benefits: Weekend work coverage, additional grant reimbursement, and priority long‑term placement. THE WORK THAT MATTERS

Provide direct PT services to PK‑12 students—gross motor development, mobility, balance, functional strength, postural support, and safe participation in school activities. Conduct initial evaluations and triennial re‑evaluations with depth and care. Partner with classroom teachers and OTs to embed PT strategies into daily routines. Bring clinical expertise to IEP meetings where your recommendations are implemented. Build trusting relationships with students and families through consistency and commitment. What You Bring Master’s or doctoral degree (DPT preferred) in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE‑accredited program. Active Florida PT license (or ability to obtain within 30 days). NPTE passage and licensure in good standing. Pediatric or school‑based experience preferred; new graduates welcomed with structured mentorship. Bilingual (Spanish) is a meaningful plus—premium compensation applies.
