Physical Therapist - School Setting in Tavares, FL

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting student success as a Physical Therapist in school settings near Tavares, FL! This contract role begins August 3, 2026, and extends through May 28, 2027, offering either one full-time position or coverage split across two or three part-time clinicians. You'll make a meaningful impact working with K-12 studentsincluding some Pre-K learnersacross several campuses, collaborating closely with another PT and a PTA to manage a caseload of 94 students through both direct and indirect services. You will enjoy a set weekday schedule (7:30 am 4:00 pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch), and the flexibility to work full-time (40 hours/week) or share responsibilities as a part-timer while serving approximately 23 schools each day. Desired Qualifications: Current Florida Physical Therapist license required Experience in school-based settings is highly preferred, though not mandatory Ability to manage itinerant assignments and travel between schools Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, educators, and families Commitment to supporting students academic, physical, and functional development in educational environments Key Responsibilities: Deliver physical therapy services per students IEPs and 504 plans Evaluate, plan, and document student progress Consult and collaborate with educational staff and families Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings Adhere to district and professional guidelines for therapy in schools This opportunity comes with an efficient onboarding process and active district supporta great fit for passionate therapists ready to engage with a diverse student population.
