We have a culture of growth and achievement powered by innovation, supported by purpose and joy.Big-D Mission Critical is looking for a Preconstruction Director to join the team located in Salt Lake City, UT.Experience/Training:Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering or related10+ plus years working in the preconstruction process as a Sr. Estimator, Chief Estimator or ManagerPreconstruction experience on data centers is preferredDuties, Responsibilities and Expectations: (other duties may be assigned to meet business needs)Create new relationships and opportunities with customersExhibits strong commitment to customer service, both internal and external, loyalty to Big-D, in fulfillment of Big-D’s stewardship/missionLeads all preconstruction services for their projectsDirects all professional staff in the preconstruction process and leads their teams in such a way to maximize the contributions of each team memberProvides continuous project oversight during the design and preconstruction phaseFosters collaboration within the project teamUltimately accountable for accurate estimates, cost studies, benchmarking, and team participation as necessary to gain approval for the project to proceed into construction Works with the Project Director and project management team to ensure a successful transition from preconstruction to constructionActs as the primary owner contact throughout preconstructionRecognize the skills of project personnel, nominating worthy individuals for Big-D awards and advancementRecruit high caliber personnel from outside sources to work at Big-DSupports Big-D’s mission and values as well as all policies and proceduresCritical Skills:Ability to coach, mentor and teach team membersProficient in Prolog, Timberline, OST, P6, Bluebeam, MS OfficeExcellent computer skillsAbility to communicate at a high levelGood time management skills and excellent attention to detailWork well in a team environmentDesign management SkillsUnderstanding of construction cost and is aware of current market conditionsHigh ethical standardsProblem solverProfit orientedBenefits:Big-D pays for 100% of your medical premiums for you and your familyEmployer Contribution into Health Savings Account (HSA) each month401k with Employer matchLife InsuranceOptional Supplemental benefitsPaid Time Off & HolidaysCompany Vehicle, mobile phone, and computerAdditional Job InformationInterested applicants must submit their resume for consideration using our applicant tracking system.
