Mechanical Assembler

Mechanical Assembler We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler who will be trained to perform specific duties including assembling elevators up to four floors using hand and power tools, cleaning parts and finished products, moving and staging equipment for assembly, following blueprints for assembly and disassembly, and connecting wires to ensure power is running through the system. Responsibilities Use hand and power tools to assemble elevators up to four floors. Clean parts and finished products. Move and stage equipment for assembly. Follow blueprints for assembly and disassembly. Connect wires to allow power and test to ensure power is running through the system. Essential Skills Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Mechanical assembly skills. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Experience with test equipment. Capability to follow drawings and blueprints. Additional Skills & Qualifications Mechanical inclination. Experience with assembly line processes. Familiarity with tape measures, drills, and power drills. Why Work Here? Work Environment The position is based in a midsized warehouse with approximately 15 other workers, including engineers. It is a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and various workstations. The warehouse is open bay with fans to ensure comfort and has drink stations available. It can get cold in winter and hot in summer, with loud noises and heavy parts/equipment present. Work hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with approved 15-minute paid breaks and a 30-minute lunch break. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hialeah Gardens, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
