Cross-Border Account Coordinator For Mexico Freight OperationsThe Cross-Border Account Coordinator for Mexico freight operations plays a critical role in managing and optimizing cross-border logistics processes. This role ensures coordination of freight shipments between the U.S. and Mexico, delivering exceptional service to our customers while building strong relationships with carriers.Duties include but are not limited to the following:Coordinate the booking of shipments to and from Mexico via truck.Arrange pick-ups and deliveries with authorized carriers and agents.Negotiate and secure costs with LTL and Truckload carriers to secure optimal rates and space for shipments.Generate spot quotes in the operating system following recommended guidelines.Prepare and file export clearance (EEI) documentation as required for U.S. shipments to Mexico.Prepare, handle, and process U.S./Mexico cross-border documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, Carta Porte, DODA, and Complimento Carta Porte, among others.Serve as a liaison with customs brokers and agents to ensure smooth shipment flow.Drive communication with customs customers, carriers, Mexican vendors, brokers, and team members.Maintain compliance with all applicable government regulations, customer requirements, and internal policies.Generate and issue accurate, timely customer invoices.Other administrative duties, as assigned.Specific Department Responsibilities:Maintain knowledge and awareness of applicable cross-border LTL and truckload import and US export laws and regulationsMonitor shipment performance metrics, identifying trends and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.Participate in cross-functional initiatives to optimize the company's Cross-Border logistics strategyProvide insights and feedback to leadership on market trends, customer needs, and operational challenges.Minimum Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalentIndustry experience preferred but not necessaryBilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not requiredRequired Skills and Abilities:Ability to work independently while balancing appropriate collaboration with leadership oversightAbility to effectively interact with other employees of the organizationExcellent customer service, time management, and prioritization skillsExcellent oral and written communication skills in person and via phoneAbility to understand, interpret, and explain complex and abstract Solutions issues and respond appropriatelyAble to utilize sound, independent judgment and make responsible decisions and recommendationsExcellent follow-through and detail orientationAble to effectively utilize computer programs including Word and Excel and agency management systemPhysical Demands and Work Environment:The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
