About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical Surgical (Post-Surgical: Abdominal/Colorectal) Duration: 26 weeks Shift: 7p-7a Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year Medical Surgical experience required. Progressive care/step down experience is a plus. License: KS or Multistate license. No hits allowed, no exceptions. Certifications: AHA BLS required. Must-Have: - Immunity status of Hep B, MMR, & Varicella (obtained by a titer) or proof of vaccination series completion. - TDaP vaccine and Influenza vaccine or exemption request during flu season. - TB documentation. Description: The unit is a 32-bed facility that cares for patients undergoing colorectal and other major abdominal surgeries, urological procedures, orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery, specialty wound care, and surgical drains. The staffing ratio is 1:6. Scrub color is navy. Visible tattoos are permitted as long as they are not offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate for a professional setting. Piercings (facial/ear) are acceptable as long as they do not interfere with job duties and maintain a professional appearance.
