JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

Department: Ultrasound

Shift Timings: 06:00 - 14:30- Monday to friday (5 days/8 Hours)

Per Week : 40 Hours


Ultrasound Tech- Performs ultrasonography for patients as ordered by the physician and provides diagnostic exams and communications for radiologist's interpretation.

Roles & Responsibilities

• The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound studies, demonstrating good judgment in the use and application of ultrasound equipment.
• The incumbent assesses the findings in the ultrasound examinations and assists the radiologist and staff physicians in interpreting the ultrasound studies.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BLS and ACLS
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• The ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong technical skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Passionate about patient care
• Requires a minimum of two years of current Ultrasound Tech experience.
• Graduate from a fully accredited Sonography program
• Active unencumbered Iowa Ultrasound Tech state license
• One year of Cerner experience

Requirements
• COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
