Doctor of Medicine | Cardiology - General/Other Location: Pomona, NJ Employer: Adelphi Locums Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Cardiology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Pomona, NJ Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Call Coverage Period: Jul 01, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8a – 4p Call Schedule: 24-hrs Call Ratio: 2:4 (Weekend Call) Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adult/Geriatric Average Daily Volume: 20 patients per day Case Mix: Cardiac diagnostics, non-invasive cardiology FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds: 400 beds (Mainland); 200 beds (city) ICU: 23 Trauma Level: II EMR System: Cerner Specialty Backup Available: Yes, other cardiologists present PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Credentialing Timeline: 30-60 days REQUIRED PROCEDURES Echocardiography Transesophageal Echocardiography Electrocardiograms (EKGs) Treadmill Stress Tests JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC Licenses: NJ Certifications: BLS, ACLS Fellowship trained in Cardiology Duties & Responsibilities Provide non-invasive cardiology services including echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, EKGs, and treadmill stress tests. Interpret diagnostic tests and provide clinical recommendations. Provide inpatient cardiology consultations and follow-up care. Collaborate with a team of 24 cardiologists and support staff.
