Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a fulfilling contract role as a Special Education Teacher guiding a dedicated K-5 caseload of students with mild to moderate needs. This position is full-time and on-site, serving elementary learners with the support of a co-teacher. You'll take the lead in managing up to 11 students directly while providing oversight for up to 15, cultivating an inclusive and nurturing environment where all can thrive.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Colorado teaching license with Special Education endorsement
• Experience working with K-5 students
• Skilled in supporting learners with mild to moderate behavioral and academic needs
• Comfortable with assisting students who may require toileting support
• Excellent collaboration skills for teaming with co-teachers and specialists
• Committed to individualized education and advocacy for student success

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver differentiated instruction aligned with IEPs
• Manage a dynamic caseload, tailoring supports for elementary students
• Collaborate closely with a co-teacher to maximize student growth
• Foster a classroom atmosphere of inclusion, positivity, and respect
• Communicate consistently with families, service providers, and school teams
• Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings
• Support positive behavioral interventions and classroom management
