Job Description

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements for assigned property portfolios.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes for properties.
• Reconcile bank accounts and tenant ledgers on a monthly basis.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for properties.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Support the preparation of year-end audit schedules and liaise with external auditors.
• Collaborate with property managers to address financial inquiries and provide support.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records for all transactions.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Property Accountant should have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of general ledger functions and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members.
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
• Ability to work onsite in midtown Manhattan 4 days/week.
