The unit receives direct admissions, ICU transfers, and escalations from Rapid Response Teams. Special equipment available includes Hercules patient re-positioners, ceiling lifts, and Airtaps.Summary of Required Skills: Clinicians must be proficient in cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring. Experience in ICU or IICU required. Based on acuity of the unit Progressive care settings such as PCU, DOU, IMC, or Stepdown will be considered. Medication management skills must include titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips. Ventilator experience is required. Floating: While Prisma Health prioritizes keeping staff in their home unit, agency staff are required to float to other units or campuses as needed. Travelers will need to begin the process of converting to an employee status after working their third consecutive 13-week contract or after 39 weeks. If the traveler does not wish to convert to a team member status, they will be required to take a minimum six-month separation before they are eligible to return as a traveler for the organization.
