Location: Tennessee School for the Blind (TSB) Nashville TN

Pay rate: $20-22/hr

Shift: 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM | Monday-Friday

Start Date: 02/15/2026

End Date: 06/15/2026

Job Summary

TSB is looking for a reliable Custodial Worker to help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role is especially important in supporting a school environment for visually impaired students.

Minimum Qualification

High school diploma or GED
No prior experience required

Key Responsibilities

Clean classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and restock supplies
Empty trash and dispose of waste properly
Maintain and properly use cleaning equipment
Lock/unlock doors as required
Report maintenance or supply needs
Assist with minor maintenance (e.g., light bulb replacement, furniture moving)
Support seasonal or special cleaning projects
Follow safety and sanitation guidelines

Skills & Abilities

Ability to use basic custodial equipment
Attention to detail and time management
Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision
Good communication and teamwork skills
Dependable, punctual, and professional
Comfortable working in a school setting

Additional Requirements

Must pass TBI/FBI background check and fingerprinting
Must comply with State of Tennessee policies
TSB is a non-smoking campus
