System Integration Specialist

Position involves working as a part of a team of System Integration (SI) staff, product vendor and Program staff to design and implement tasks necessary for the transition of existing interfaces or implementation of new data-sharing strategies for a new cloud Financials solution.

Responsible for business alignment and transition assurance, developing integration transition support materials, requirements, and tasks.

Duties include developing technical standards and policies, ensuring systems analysis procedures and practices are implemented, providing leadership in the development of strategic plans, managing customer expectations, and potentially leading a re-engineering team.

Engage with user community to conduct research and analysis to formulate and define data integration requirements, scope, timing, and objectives.

Provide options for data integration other than the current interface landscape, support detailed mapping specifications and develop “integration materials” for business teams of interfacing agencies.

Review existing specifications for unique interfaces and provide complete documentation for new or modified integration protocols and processes.

Support unit, system, integration, conversion, or other testing of integration deliverables.

Help manage the transition of responsibilities from legacy applications to the new solution and services and assist in setting up procedures and tools to monitor and audit interfaces to assure security.

Support agencies on their inbound interfaces that will be certified with the new solution and work with agencies to provide instructions on how to build extracts or queries linking data in the new solution with historical data.

Assist/support BEST Technical Lead on Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements and Agencies in their Integration testing of the operational solution.
