The After School Teacher plays a vital role in providing a safe, engaging, and educational environment for students outside of regular school hours. This position focuses on supporting students' academic growth, social development, and creative expression through structured activities and personalized attention. The teacher will design and implement lesson plans that complement daytime learning while fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field preferred.
• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
• Basic knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods.
• Ability to pass background checks and comply with all safety regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid.
• Experience designing and implementing after-school or enrichment programs.
• Familiarity with special education needs and inclusive teaching strategies.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and digital learning tools.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver age-appropriate educational and recreational activities that reinforce classroom learning and encourage creativity.
• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of students during after-school hours.
• Provide individualized support and tutoring to students who need extra help with homework or specific subjects.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and any concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, activities, and student development.
• Collaborate with school teachers and staff to align after-school programs with the school curriculum and student needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment that promotes social skills and teamwork among students.
