Patient Access Lead-Onsite VARIED HOURS

Job Overview Patient Access Team Lead oversees daily front‑end operations within the patient access department, ensuring efficient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and financial clearance processes while maintaining regulatory compliance and delivering an exceptional patient experience. Responsibilities Lead and support Patient Access Specialists and Bed Board Coordinator during daily operations. Monitor productivity, quality, and service standards, providing real‑time feedback. Assist in resolving complex patient and insurance issues and escalating concerns to upper management. Support department leadership with reporting, performance metrics, and workflow improvements. Maintain accurate records of daily staff assignments, rotations, and rounds. Act as a resource for training new staff and lead experience support professionals. Maintain operational readiness during high‑volume days and internal or external disaster events. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. 4–8years of relevant customer service or healthcare experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, basic medical terminology, and patient access/financial counseling operations. Must obtain BLS certification within 90days of hire and renew every two years. Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently, lead teams, and follow detailed instructions.
