Registered Nurse - Critical Care Resource Team (Days)

Overview Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team. Responsible for maintaining the knowledge and abilities essential to the performance of stated behaviors. Carries out legal responsibilities within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act. Accountable to the NURSE SVC SUPV 2 for overall work performance. Required Qualifications A minimum of five years recent RN experience in Pediatric Critical Care (PICU, NICU or Peds CICU). Minimum level 3 NICU. This position requires flexibilityto orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations Preferred Qualifications BSN Pediatric CCRN Experience in two or more Pediatric Critical Care areas (NICU, PICU or PCICU) Required Licenses/Certifications Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California. Current healthcare provider CPR certification Current healthcare provider PALS certification Current healthcare provider NRP certification Salary Information The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
