Senior Data Scientist, Predictive Immune Biomarker Foundation Models

Senior data scientist position focused on developing predictive immune biomarkers using foundation models and multi-modal data analysis. The role involves building computational approaches for immunology research within the Precision Genetics group in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

• Build, fine-tune, and benchmark foundation models for immune biomarker discovery applications
• Perform quality control and analysis of multi-modal molecular datasets including bulk RNA-seq, single-cell RNA-seq, and spatial transcriptomics
• Integrate multi-omics datasets from gene expression, proteomics, spatial data, and genotype information
• Document analysis methodologies and findings in comprehensive technical reports

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, AI/ML, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related STEM field
• Proven track record developing and benchmarking foundation models for multi-omics analysis
• Proficiency in R, Python, and Bash with reproducible analysis practices
• Strong expertise in multi-omics data types: RNA-seq, single-cell RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, proteomics
• Experience with high-performance computing systems and AWS cloud services
• Fundamental understanding of AI/ML methods, omics integration, and patient stratification approaches
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to manage multiple priorities

Compensation: $144,800–$227,900 base
