For over 60 years, Atlantic Track has put our people first to foster strong teams, products, and services that are second to none.We’re currently seeking a 2nd Shift Manual Machine Operator I to support our growing manufacturing operations with our team on-site in Richmond, Illinois. This position will directly assist with machining within the facility and contribute as a vital part of the production process for specialty trackwork.This role will support our 2nd shift, which works Monday through Thursday from 3:00pm to 1:30am. Training will be conducted during 1st shift (Monday through Friday from 7:00am – 3:30pm) and then transition to 2nd shift.**Roles and Responsibilities:**Sets up and runs all manual milling machines; adjusts offset as neededMaintains a neat and organized work areaAssembles milling cutters onto holders and index insertsLoads and unloads parts on machine with craneAssists support personnel with program, tooling, or machine issues as neededCompletes required quality documentationMaintains a positive and helpful attitude to other team members in the shopHandles and reads measuring devices to ensure product conforms to order specifications and quality requirements**Minimum Qualifications:**A high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years of machining experienceAdequate machining and tooling knowledge – feed, speeds, and chip loadConsistent appraisal of continuous improvement methodologyAbility to read and understand production drawingsAbility to work extra hours (overtime) if neededAbility to work on-site in Richmond, Illinois**Preferred Qualifications:**Any knowledge of FANUC CNC control systemPrevious industrial milling experienceAtlantic Track offers a holistic benefits package, including competitive pay, 401k plan with company matching funds, health / dental / vision insurance options, life insurance, paid time off, an employee shared ownership plan, and more.
