Travel RN Job Details

• Position: Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN)
• Employment Type: Travel nursing contract

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360–$2,480
• Start Date: November 20, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, ending February 19, 2027
• Hours: Approximately 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Shift Schedule: Day shifts, approximately 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m., and night shifts, approximately 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.; schedules may rotate based on operational needs
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Holiday Coverage: Travelers are expected to work at least every other holiday
• Location: On-site in Cleveland, Ohio

Med/Surg Tele RN Job Requirements

• Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of permanent experience in medical-surgical telemetry nursing
• Active Ohio RN license or compact-state RN license in hand at the time of submission
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications; BLS may be issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty, completed within the past 12 months
• Ability to complete and achieve a passing score on ECG rhythm recognition and medication-safety assessments during orientation; up to two attempts are permitted for each assessment
• Willingness to float to comparable medical-surgical, telemetry, and emergency department units when needed to care for the same patient population
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, organization, cardiac monitoring, and patient-centered care skills

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients throughout the care continuum
• Perform focused and comprehensive nursing assessments, identify changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, recognize dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to clinical changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely while following established clinical protocols
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
• Collaborate with providers, ancillary departments, patients, and families to support positive patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, responses to treatment, and patient education accurately in the electronic medical record
• Support safe transitions of care through effective handoff communication and discharge teaching
• Adapt to floating assignments and maintain high-quality care across units serving similar patient populations
