We’re seeking a Corporate Accountant to play a critical role in monthly close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and cash flow forecasting for a growing, fast-paced organization.This position is ideal for someone with strong technical accounting skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently on research, analysis, and process improvement. You’ll partner closely with the Controller and help deliver financial information leadership relies on to make decisions.Reconciliations & AnalysisPrepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliationsReview reconciliations prepared by other team membersPrepare and analyze monthly work-in-progress (WIP) schedules, tying job cost and billing data to revenue recognition and the general ledgerReconcile prepaid expenses and record monthly amortizationRecord and reconcile fixed asset depreciation and amortizationHandle lease accounting in accordance with ASC 842Investigate and resolve reconciling items and variancesJournal Entries & Close SupportPrepare journal entries including accruals, prepaids, lease accounting, and WIP-related entries with complete documentationSupport month-end close activities and ensure deadlines are metReporting & AutomationBuild, maintain, and improve reports and dashboards within the ERP and related reporting toolsSupport reporting automation and systems integration initiativesHelp improve management reportingManagement Reporting & ForecastingPrepare flash reporting for leadership ahead of full closeMaintain KPI scorecards and support ad hoc financial and operational reportingAssist with weekly, monthly, and 13-week cash flow forecastingSupport variance analysis between actuals and forecastTax, Audit & Technical AccountingCoordinate personal property tax filings across applicable jurisdictionsPrepare and file S& U tax returnsResearch GAAP guidance and draft technical accounting documentationSupport implementation of new accounting standardsPrepare audit schedules and respond to external auditor requestsWhat Success Looks LikeReconciliations and supporting schedules are accurate, complete, and delivered on timeWIP reporting and financial packages are reliable and decision-readyFlash reports, dashboards, and scorecards are timely and trusted by leadershipCash flow forecasts are consistently updated and dependableTax filings are accurate and submitted on timeAudit support is organized and responsiveTechnical accounting research is clear, thorough, and well-documentedRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required3+ years of experience in GL accounting and/or public accounting (audit)Experience in construction or project-based services preferredExposure to percentage-of-completion accounting and WIP reporting is a plusExperience with multi-state personal property tax and S& U taxfilings preferredSolid understanding of GAAP and ability to research and document accounting positionsJob typePerm
