Welder - 2nd Shift

Welder: Montgomery, Illinois Our customer in Montgomery, Illinois, is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. Were recruiting Welders to work full-time on 2nd shift. As a Welder, you will be responsible for performing a variety of non-code welding operations to repair and restore metal cast parts while maintaining quality and safety standards. Responsibilities of the Welder: Perform non-code arc and gas welding to reclaim and repair brass, bronze, and iron cast parts. Perform inert gas shielded welding on steel as needed. Operate cut-off saws and perform grinding, sanding, and deburring of parts. Follow work orders, procedures, and instructions to complete welding tasks. Select appropriate rod tips, adjust flame, and gas pressure for welding operations. Build up and shape damaged castings through welding processes. Pre-heat castings when required. Manufacture specialty brass or bronze welding rods. Follow process sheets to complete cutting, grinding, sanding, and finishing tasks. Welder Requirements and Qualifications: Ability to follow detailed instructions and work procedures. Basic welding experience preferred. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical work. Ability to lift and handle materials as required. Steel-toed shoes required. Long-sleeve cotton shirt required. Jeans required.
