Licensed Dental Assistant - Oral Surgery

Blue Water Oral and Facial Surgery is hiring a Licensed Dental Assistant - join our dynamic team in 3 fast paced oral surgery offices located in Duluth, Virginia, and Grand Rapids, Minnesota! We are looking for a team oriented self-starter with patient care as a top priority. No previous experience in oral surgery necessary - on the job specialty training provided, as well as paid up-skilling opportunities.

Monday through Friday day shifts available; Full-time schedule would typically be 4 days/week with benefits eligibility starting at 30 hours per week.

We offer paid time & mileage for travel required between clinic locations (1-2 times/week). Applicants should be able to work in a team setting with business office staff, other dental assistants, nurses, and doctors. Current CPR certification required. Applicants should have the ability to multitask and be self motivated.

*Responsibilities and Duties*

* Sterilize instruments and prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures
* Greet and prepare patients for treatment
* Assist doctor with surgical treatment procedures under different sedation levels
* Anesthesia / airway monitoring
* Recovery and post-op monitoring
* Documentation of medical histories
* Imaging and intraoral scanning

*Qualifications and Skills*

* *Current MN dental assistant license*
* Must have a current CPR/BLS certification
* Ability to stand for long periods of time
* Occasionally lift / hold up to 20lbs
