Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Day Shift 6A-2PSt. Luke's Hospital Transitional Care Center - Cedar Rapids, IAJob Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at St. Luke's Hospital Transitional Care Center in Cedar Rapids, IA. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and support to our patients during the day shift from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding patients, ensuring dietary needs are met
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
• Assist with transferring and repositioning patients to prevent pressure ulcers
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely
• Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings

Qualifications:

• Active CNA certification in the state of Iowa
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients and their families
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Basic computer skills for documentation purposes
