The Machinist Machine Operator plays a crucial role in the production process by operating and setting up machinery to manufacture metalworking parts. Working primarily as an individual contributor within a small team, this position requires close coordination with the Production Supervisor and Manufacturing Manager. The role involves performing basic preventive maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure equipment runs efficiently and products meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up machining equipment for metalworking parts production
• Conduct quality inspections to maintain product standards
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues
• Handle materials and components according to safety and production guidelines
• Interpret blueprints to ensure precise machining
• Keep accurate production and maintenance records
• Monitor production processes to meet quality and efficiency goals
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and compliance standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in machining
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with CNC machining and manual machining techniques
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance and quality control
• Strong commitment to safety compliance
• Effective problem-solving and attention to detail
• Teamwork and time management skills
