MachinistThe Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining manual and CNC machines to manufacture precision components according to engineering specifications. The ideal candidate has strong blueprint reading skills, experience with precision measuring instruments, and a commitment to producing high-quality parts in a safe manufacturing environment.Key responsibilities include:Setting up and operating manual and CNC machines, including lathes, mills, grinders, and other machining equipmentReading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and manufacturing instructionsMeasuring and inspecting finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and dial indicatorsPerforming machine setups, adjustments, and tool changes to ensure quality and production efficiencyMonitoring machine operations and troubleshooting machining issues as neededMaintaining accurate production records, inspection reports, and required documentationPerforming routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic servicing of machines and equipmentEnsuring compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and manufacturing proceduresCollaborating with supervisors, engineers, and production teams to improve manufacturing processes and productivityMaintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environmentJob requirements include:Previous experience operating manual and CNC machining equipment requiredAbility to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specificationsProficient in using precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicatorsStrong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and quality inspection proceduresExperience performing machine setup, adjustments, and routine maintenanceExcellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentCommitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement
