Our Asbestos Abatement Supervisors are responsible for supervising environmental jobs. Direct lead technicians in the production phase of job(s) via work orders. This position reports directly to the Project Director and interfaces with other departments within the company as required. Job Summary The Environmental Supervisor is responsible for supervising crewmembers during the performance of asbestos, mold, lead, and/or other hazardous waste removals while adhering to company policies and procedures regarding remediation while overseeing job set‑up and quality control. Qualifications And Requirements 2+ years of supervisory experience Valid Driver’s License, with driving record in good standing (Class C) 3-5 years of Asbestos, Lead, and Mold abatement experience and hazardous waste/materials Must be in possession of current Asbestos Supervisor certificate CDPH Certified Preferred Additional Eligibility Qualifications The individual must be able to pass environmental physical enabling the individual to wear a respirator Supervising crews Hazardous material containment and clean‑up Asbestos removal/abatement Mold Remediation Lead Abatement Communication Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Bilingual English/Spanish is encouraged, but not required. Work Environment Working around equipment and machinery, the work environment is usually dirty, dusty, and noisy, on uneven ground/surfaces containing hazardous or potentially hazardous substances and/or materials, and is subject to inclement or extreme weather conditions and temperatures. Work includes handling hazardous materials and the use of personal protective equipment. Frequent travel is required for this position.
