• Current certification and credentials as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Experience working in school-based settings with students who have visual impairments
• Skilled in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Ability to design age-appropriate and accessible instructional materials
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and specialists
• Flexibility and creativity in problem-solving and adapting to varying student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments, individually and in groups
• Assess students’ functional vision and learning needs
• Consult with teachers on classroom accommodations and modifications
• Support the use of assistive technology and orientation & mobility techniques
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP development and implementation
