Pharmacy Tech - Bronx, New York

An opportunity is available for an Evening Shift Production Pharmacy Technician specializing in dosage preparation within a closed-door Long-Term Care (LTC) facility in Bardonia, New York. This direct hire position involves working closely with the dosage department to support medication preparation and distribution for resident care.

Location: Bardonia, NY

Term: Direct Hire

Shift:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Saturday, Sunday: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Days off: Tuesday and Thursday

Responsibilities:

Prepare medications in appropriate packaging, such as blister packs and unit-dose, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to residents.
Assist in ordering, receiving, and stocking medications while monitoring storage conditions and expiration dates.
Maintain precise patient and medication records to support compliance and safety.
Work within a high-volume environment, processing approximately 600 prescriptions per day.
Operate the Frameworks software system (training provided for those unfamiliar).

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
New York State Pharmacy Technician License preferred but not required.
Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification preferred but not required.
Ability to work efficiently during weekends and evenings as per the outlined schedule.
