Senior Director, Strategic Planning and Operations, Oncology Clinical Development

Senior Director leading oncology clinical development strategy and portfolio planning at a major pharmaceutical company. Reports to the Development Therapeutic Area Vice President and collaborates with cross-functional leadership to optimize asset value and advance pipeline progression.

Responsibilities

Lead long-term oncology therapeutic area strategy and portfolio planning as core TEC member
Advise asset development teams on playbook application and alignment of product profiles with strategy
Partner with business development on external molecule assessments and therapy area evaluations
Coordinate competitive landscape assessments and regulatory trend monitoring for strategic decision-making
Identify and facilitate implementation of novel tools, biomarkers, and technologies to accelerate pipeline progression

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, MBA) preferred
Minimum 10 years pharmaceutical or biotech R&D, commercial, project management, or portfolio experience
Proven facilitative leadership in cross-functional, matrix team environments with ability to influence stakeholders
Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex issues and perform balanced risk assessments
Excellent oral and written communication skills for internal and external engagement
