Located in Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college, offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.


Position Summary:

The idealcandidate will join a vibrant educational community, and have a desire andability to serve a population of students with various needs andbackgrounds. This is a part-time,student employment position with no benefits. Toassist with STEM outreach and onboarding activities that connect high schoolstudents to MassBay's career and technical education (CTE) programs, supportingsecondary-postsecondary linkages.

Required Qualifications:

• Recruit new students to our STEM programs at MassBay, specifically focusing on high school juniors and seniors;
• Represent MassBay as a student representative and speak about your experiences with the college/STEM Division at internal and external events;
• Facilitate hands-on STEM activities with prospective students;
• Report on activities and assist with general administrative tasks;
• Assist with creating high school newsletter on MS Sway and Canva presentations;
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• MassBay STEM student with a GPA of 3.0 or higher;
• Consistent and reliable work habits;
• Ability to work independently;
• Ability to work with diverse populations;
• Strong oral/written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;
• Creative, knows how to use Canva, MS Sway and MS Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Sensitivity and commitment to the goals of Affirmative Action;
• Experience working in a community college or similar environment;
• Demonstrates commitment to working with students in need.

Additional Information:

Salary Range: $19 - $20 per hour

Hiring is contingent upon a successful CORI clearance.
