Deburr Hand FinisherJob Type: Full-Time, Hourly Non-ExemptSchedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Day Shift)SummaryThe Deburr Hand Finisher is responsible for deburring parts to ensure they are free of sharp edges, in accordance with company guidelines, safety requirements, quality standards, and production goals.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.Read and follow traveler instructions accuratelyOperate a variety of deburr hand tools appropriate to different applicationsMeasure and document work to meet production standardsRead and interpret intermediate-level blueprint measurementsApply knowledge of surface finishes and edge-break requirementsMaintain tight tolerances without oversizing partsOperate a sandblast machine safely and effectivelyScribe parts using a vibro-peen toolOperate tumble machines efficientlyAccurately document part countsComplete discrepant material tag documentationKeep the work area organized, clean, and well-maintained dailyPerform other duties as assignedCompetenciesStrong attention to detailIntermediate knowledge of hand tool machine and controller functionsIntermediate understanding of blueprint tolerancesIntermediate finishing skillsIntermediate mathematical aptitudeEffective communicator; able to listen actively and ask clarifying questionsStrong work ethic and reliabilityCollaborative team playerSelf-motivated and able to work independentlyMinimum QualificationsIntermediate experience with mechanical hand tools2+ years of hand finishing experienceHigh school diploma or GEDSupervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, and frequently required to stand for extended periods, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms.
