Schedule: M-F 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m

CMM Inspector Job Description:

PrideStaff is working with a local manufacturer seeking an experienced CMM Inspector to join its growing team. The ideal CMM Inspector has experience in the operation, setup, and programming of CNC and manual CMM machines using PC-DMIS and GEOPAK. The CMM Inspector is a full-time, temp-to-hire position in Camarillo, CA

CMM Inspector Duties & Responsibilities:

• Write, Validate & Optimize CMM Programs to Measure Part Dimensions
• Conduct First Article, In-Process & Final Inspections of Highly Precise Machined Components
• Interpret Complex Engineering Drawings & Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to Determine Part Acceptance
• Generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s) and Prepare First Article Inspection Reports 7 Update Databases.
• Use Conventional Bench Tools Such as Surface Plates, Calipers, Micrometers & Height Gauges for Supplementary Checks
• Verify & Maintain the Calibration Status of Inspection Tools and the CMM equipment

CMM Inspector Requirements & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• Must Have a Minimum of 2 Years PC-DMIS DCC Experience & 7 Years in an Aerospace Machine Shop Environment
• Must Have Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) & Mechanical Inspecting
• Must Have Knowledge of AS9100/ASO9001, ANSI Y14.5 & ASME
• Must Have Good Computer Skills Including Microsoft Word & Excel
• Must Have Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal and Written
• Must be Able to Demonstrate & Apply Strong Problem Solving Skills in Day-to-Day Operations, Review Opportunities for Improvement & Collaborate with Appropriate Personnel to Resolve Issues.
